FPG team does 'something funny for money'...
written by Emily
As part of Comic Relief's Red Nose Day on 13th March 2009, FPG decided to get involved and raise some money by wearing something different to work. The ideas of what to wear came in thick and fast - wedding dresses, superhero costumes and the like - but we eventually decided to leave it a surprise! Most of us came in in our pyjamas, with the odd ballet dancer thrown in. It would seem that what we individually chose to wear said a lot about ourselves!!
We also decided to get the other companies in our building involved in the fund-raising by holding a 'Name the Puppy' competition - donating £1 a go to guess the name of a cuddly toy from a list of names selected by the FPG girls. The name was selected at random by CB's son, and securely sealed in an envelope until the big day! The lucky winner was Nikki, choosing the correct name on a whim at the last minute - the cuddly toy will now forever be known as Nugget! This particular endeavour raised £30, which in Comic Relief terms is enough food for two children in Zambia for a whole month.
Total money raised isn't finalised as yet, with sponsorship money still coming in, but our estimated total is nearing £150: a brilliant effort for such a worthy cause...
