Background

Gary is a Chartered Management Accountant with 10 years’ practical experience in management accounting and auditing. His early career saw him move through a variety of roles at West Midland Gas, CEGB and British Gas before taking the leap into consultancy at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where his most significant achievement was managing the delivery of a major PFI training programme on behalf of HM Treasury.

After a five-year tenure in consultancy, Gary became an independent business coach and training consultant in 1998 and spent seven years establishing and running a training and conference centre in Derbyshire with his family, which he sold in 2005 in order to concentrate more fully on his coaching clients.

Gary is a family man who takes an active interest in his children’s education, through his role as a school governor and in his local sporting clubs, helping to run and coach ‘Ashbourne Aztecs’ Junior Football Club.

Experience

With over 15 years’ experience of designing and delivering a wide range of learning solutions at many different levels (from administrative staff through to board-level executives), Gary has an extremely adaptable and flexible coaching style. Gary is highly experienced in using Insights Discovery, the world-class personality profiling tool, as the basis for delivering effective personal and team development programmes. He is known for working effectively in a variety of environments, including overseas assignments in Turkey, France, South Africa, Trinidad and the USA.

Clients encompass blue-chip multi-nationals, smaller private sector companies and a range of public sector organisations, including local authorities. His most recent work has been delivered for Alliance & Leicester Bank, , Birmingham City Council, Enotria Winecellars, the London Borough of Lambeth, Mercer, Premier Inns, Smith and Nephew and The Rank Organisation.
